Pellet Cooler Manufacturer in Punjab, India

Golden Biofuels specializes in the fabrication of industrial machinery for biomass and feed processing plants. We have spent over 35 years working hands-on with our equipment and not just drafting plans. Our pellet cooler has become one of our best-selling products and is utilized all over India for convenient pelleting stage cooling.

What Is a Pellet Cooler and Why Does Your Plant Need One?

Pellets that come out of the pellet mill are around 70°C to 90°C and have some surface moisture. If these pellets are allowed to fall directly into a bag, bin, or onto a conveyor, they will break, stick to each other, and lose their form. This is one of the most frequent and costly errors in newly established pellet lines.

A pellet cooler reduces the temperature of the pellets to near room temperature, removes moisture, and preserves the hardness and form of the pellets. The finished product is suitable for long-distance transportation, whether they are fuel pellets or feed pellets.

Pellet coolers are vital components of any pellet production line.

Our Horizontal Counterflow Pellet Cooler: How It Works

We make a horizontal counterflow pellet cooler design, which is the best method for cooling within an industrial pelleting operation.

Pellets that need cooling are dropped in from the top. These are spread across the cooling bed via a spreader plate. An exhaust fan connected to the outlet pulls ambient air upwards through the bed of pellets. This is done in the opposite direction of the pellet flow. This counterflow air absorbs both heat and moisture from the pellets and is released through the top.

Pellets then discharge from the bottom through an adjustable gate that controls the residence time. This gate can be adjusted to control how long the pellets stay in the cooler and the extent of cooling.

The counterflow method is preferred over crossflow and static cooling because:

  1. It cools the entire batch more uniformly.
  2. It removes moisture more effectively from the pellet core.
  3. It helps maintain pellet structural integrity.
  4. It is more energy-efficient.

To withstand 24-hour continuous operation in dusty and hot industrial environments, the machine is manufactured from mild steel with wear-resistant liners at critical contact points.

Biomass Pellet Cooler vs Feed Pellet Cooler — What Is the Difference?

Since we receive many inquiries about this, we want to address it directly.

A biomass pellet cooler is designed primarily for wood pellets, rice husk pellets, mustard straw pellets, cotton stalk pellets, and similar agricultural or forestry residues. These materials are more abrasive, requiring a robust cooling system.

A feed pellet cooler is designed for animal feed pellets such as poultry feed, cattle feed, and fish feed. These pellets are denser and contain proteins and fats that can make them somewhat sticky. Therefore, the airflow and gate design differ from biomass pellet coolers.

At Golden BioFuels, we serve both industries. During the inquiry process, we ask about the raw material, pellet mill output temperature, capacity in tonnes per hour, and pellet diameter. Based on this information, we recommend or fabricate a cooler specifically suited to your application. We do not sell a one-size-fits-all machine.

Small Pellet Cooler in India — Suitable for Small and Mid-Sized Plants

Not every plant runs at 5 tonnes per hour. Many of our customers in Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh operate smaller facilities producing 500 kg/hour, 1 tonne/hour, or 2 tonnes/hour.

These customers require compact and affordable pellet cooling machines that fit within limited space and do not require extensive civil structures.

We manufacture small pellet coolers specifically for this segment. These are not scaled-down versions of industrial machines with compromised quality. They are purpose-built units featuring the same counterflow principle, steel construction, and adjustable discharge gate, sized appropriately for lower capacities.

If you are currently cooling pellets on the floor or in open bins, you are losing pellet quality every day. A compact pellet cooler can quickly pay for itself through reduced breakage and improved product presentation.

Why Choose Golden BioFuels as Your Pellet Cooler Manufacturer?

There are many machinery suppliers in India today. Here is why our customers continue to work with us and recommend us:

Experience That Actually Matters

We started fabricating industrial equipment in 1990. The people who build your machine at our Amloh facility in Fatehgarh Sahib have decades of experience working with biomass and feed plant machinery. When customers call us with a problem, we have usually seen it before and know how to solve it.

We Build, We Do Not Just Assemble

Many suppliers buy components from various vendors and assemble them. We operate our own fabrication workshop and machine shop. We cut, roll, weld, and finish structures in-house. This results in tighter tolerances, better fitment, and easier maintenance.

Honest Pricing

We provide realistic pricing based on your actual requirements, including capacity, material, and installation site. We do not offer low initial quotes followed by unexpected charges later.

Location Advantage for North India

Our factory is located in Amloh, Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab. We are well-positioned to serve customers across Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and other regions of North India with fast delivery and service support.

Build a Complete Pellet Plant with Golden BioFuels

A pellet cooler works as part of a larger production line.

Raw material must first be dried before entering the pellet mill. We manufacture Rotary Dryers specifically for handling biomass materials such as paddy straw, wood chips, and cotton stalk.

Once the material is dried, it enters the pellet mill. We supply Yulong Pellet Mills, industrial-grade machines imported and tested by our team for biomass and feed pellet production.

After pellets leave the cooler, they need to be transported to storage or bagging areas. We manufacture heavy-duty Screw Conveyors designed to handle cooled pellets without breakage.

The cooling process also generates dust and fine particles. To manage this, we recommend connecting an APCD Bag House to the cooler outlet. It captures dust before it enters the atmosphere and helps maintain compliance with pollution control regulations.

Pellet Cooler Price in India — What Affects the Cost?

We understand that pricing is one of the first things customers want to know. Several factors influence pellet cooling machine prices:

1. Capacity

A 1 TPH cooler and a 5 TPH cooler require different designs, steel quantities, fan sizes, and support structures. Higher capacity naturally increases cost.

2. Pellet Material

Biomass pellets made from cotton stalk are more abrasive than wood pellets. For highly abrasive materials, we recommend heavier internal liners, which increase initial cost but reduce long-term maintenance expenses.

3. Integration Requirements

If the cooler needs to be connected to conveyors, surge hoppers, or dust collection systems, the overall package cost will vary. We can supply the cooler as a standalone unit or as part of a complete system.

4. Customization

Special configurations or custom connections may require modifications beyond our standard design and will affect pricing accordingly.
